In July 2018 I’ll be attending the Hollywood Music Workshop for Game Scoring in Baden near Vienna. The seminar will be held by Cris Velasco whose music I have always admired for being a wonderful combination of traditional symphonic and contemporary sounds. There’s a lot of drama in his music which I – being a dramatic person myself – can relate to, and I’m very excited to meet him there – and hopefully a bunch of other cool composing people! I’m also looking forward to learn a thing or two about game scoring which is quite different from scoring linear media like film, but I guess differences are getting smaller as the boundaries between games and films are blurred already.
