Able Danger Complete Score

Composing for the movie Able Danger changed my life, and I’m very proud to include audio and video material for this movie now on this website. Apart from that, I’d like to share with you the story how I came to work on this project.

I was sent an e-mail by the director who had listened to my online demo tracks. He asked me to pitch for the movie by sending in a music cue for the Airport Surveillance scene (starting at 3′ 36”). I decided to blend both orchestral and modern elements and, since it was the character Kasia’s first appearance on the screen, I’d introduce a motif on the flute for this attractive femme fatale. At the end of the scene the music had to hit the exact timestamp when Kasia enters the cab.

I was given the job shortly after, mainly to compose music for the orchestral cues which “should sound old-school, like Bernard Herrmann”. I immediately started composing with the opening sequence and scored scene after scene in chronological order. I finished composing within 10 days which I’m a bit proud of since it was my first film score and there was a lot of exact timing required. You can watch a special version of the movie with all my music and its volume slightly turned up right here and you can also listen to the entire soundtrack on the Able Danger project page.
